Hanxu Yan

I am an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science and Technology at Sichuan University. I previously conducted research at the IDs Lab under the supervision of Prof. Mingjie Tang. I am currently a research intern at the Purdue Data & AI System (PDAIS) Lab at Purdue University, working with Prof. Chunwei Liu.

My research focuses on the intersection of AI and database systems. My current research interest is semantic databases, where I explore how to combine semantic understanding with efficient query processing over structured and unstructured data. I am also interested in LLM-based query optimization and reliable data-analysis agents, aiming to make AI-powered data systems more efficient and trustworthy.
